• Phoneboy - They've noted that, while touring, the music they play in their van shifts inevitably towards country when they reach the Southwest area.


• The Backseat Lovers - This band got their name during a prom date. While piled in the back seat of a van, someone called them 'backseat lovers'.


• Porter Robinson - Notorious for being self-taught in music at age 12, he used to produce music under the name Ekowraith, and considered himself a DJ, not a producer.


• Good Kid - Their first song, Nomu, was originally marketed as 'punk-dance' in demos. The cover art was drawn by Gabriel Altrows, who designed all of their album covers from the last 11 years, and still does.


• The Rare Occasions - Their singer Brian McLaughlin can sing while riding a tall unicycle. No context needed.

Good kid released a game to promote their music after releasing their second EP. Their game, Revenge of the Ghost King, is very well-known among fans. The premise of this simple 8-bit game is to save the band's first mascot, Nomu Kid, from the antagonist, the Ghost King. Their game features chiptune remixes of their early music, which can be found on any of the streaming platforms on the artists page.
